It seemed like a good idea...

Because learning Visual Basic Programming, raising three kids and unofficially training for a half-marathon is not challenging enough I have decided to attempt to write a novel in thirty days.  As suggested by a fabulous blogger Amber Page Writes I have decided to sign up for NaNoWriMo—otherwise known as National Novel Writing Month.

The general idea is that a writer will compose 50,000 words in 30 days. After 30 days the writing should yield a 175 page novel.  That's the general idea.

I started writing at 2AM and I am 3,272 words in. I took a break around 4AM to run my 4 miles, beating my trainer to my wake up text.

I do not know yet if this is an exercise in futility or a final release for all of the creative energy that has been vibrating in my body.  An outlet of the "story" in my head that has been dying to be told.  I guess that will remain to be seen.

I will be looking for HONEST feedback and editorial assistance.  I will be looking for some guidance an support.  I will be looking for a soft place to land when this gets really tough.

But for right now I am just looking for a shower and a HUGE cup of coffee because this is going to be a long day.
